need to run the power point presentation on your computer. Instructions

If you are a school administrator
viewing this on the Web or you were given a CD, this page will provide a link
to power point presentations of a FREE lecture/workshop series, which can
be delivered onsite to your school. (Southern California Only) Each of these lectures can be tailored to
your schools time and other constraints. Student handouts and illustrations are
included in these presentations. There are currently four presentations (see links below in the series as follows;

Old Timer Talk

A successful Massage therapist with
over 30 years experience provides your students with a funny, entertaining,
insightful and informative talk.

talks conducted at the schools so far. The evaluation forms completed by
students at National Institute of Technology in Long Beach (4/7/2004) for
example felt the talk was “just excellent” "Very good and entertaining

Clinical Methods-Lumbar
2.1.3.1
Simple easy to learn palpation techniques
to help massage therapists painlessly treat common Musculoskeletal problems
which clients bring to the clinic or spa.

This lecture clearly defines learning
objectives, discusses functional anatomy, includes a workshop to practice the
techniques, provides a summary of the concepts discussed, includes a post
workshop quiz and post session evaluation.

Clinical Methods-Plantar Foot
2.1.4.1
Teaches students about scientific
method and how to test massage techniques on their clients. A unique view of
why people hurt is explored. The areas that pain can refer are discussed as
well as how to do pain rating using a scale. The bones, connective tissue &
muscle attachments of the plantar foot and a simple compression and stretching technique
is used on the connective tissue structures of the foot

This lecture clearly defines learning objectives, discusses
functional anatomy, includes a workshop to practice the techniques, provides a
summary of the concepts discussed, includes a post workshop quiz and post
session evaluation.

Taoist Meditation
2.1.5.1
Meditation techniques massage
therapists can practice and teach their clients. This lecture helps students
understand the foundation of Eastern massage techniques such as Shiatsu and
acupressure.

A student handbook is provided.

This lecture clearly defines learning
objectives, discusses Taoist philosophy, includes a workshop to practice the
techniques, provides a summary of the concepts discussed, includes a post
workshop quiz and post session evaluation.

which allow you to manually proceed thru the slides.

On the left hand side of your screen,
you should notice an index with headings you can click on to move around the
presentation.
